Equipment

Ingredients

  • 1.5 cans Refrigerated Biscuits Grands or 2 packs of the regular sized 10oz cans
  • 1 c Pizza sauce Your choice. It can be marinara, pizza sauce, garlic tomato, meat, or whatever you have in your pantry.
  • 2 c Shredded Mozzarella
  • 2 tsp Italian Seasoning
  • 1 tsp Garlic Salt
  • Pepperoni
  • Any other toppings of your choice

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Use nonstick cooking spray or butter in your casserole dish.
  • Important note: We used 2 cans of the large biscuits but only put 1.5 cans in our mixture. Biscuits expand while cooking and when they're too think they have an issue
  • Open cans of refrigerated biscuit dough and cut each biscuit into 4-6 pieces and place into greased pan. You can also put them in a bowl and then put the mixed product in the casserole dish.
  • Mix 1 cup of pizza sauce of your choice to the cut biscuit pieces.
  • Add 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese to the pizza sauce and biscuit pieces and mix all together well.
  • If you want some toppings on the inside of this pizza you can add them now and mix well.
  • Take all of the mixture and flatten it lightly in the casserole dish.
  • Top with another 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese.
  • Add any toppings that you would like. We used pepperoni.
  • Sprinkle about 1 tsp of garlic salt and 2 tsp of Italian seasoning. Or whatever amount you like taste-wise.
  • Bake uncovered at 375 degrees for 25-30 minutes. Start checking the progress of baking at around 20 minutes. You use a knife or fork to peek at the middle of the casserole dish to check to see the doneness of the biscuits. It takes a bit to get them fully cooked. If the top starts getting too dark you can cover with foil for the remainder of the cooking time.
  • Once the biscuits are fully cooked at the center of the casserole you're ready to take it out and serve. I like to serve with a little container of additional sauce for dipping.
  • Enjoy! The meal will take a few minutes to cool off so be careful with serving little ones.
